Sleep is an often elusive commodity for parents of young children. For a large variety of reasons, kids often find going off to sleep and staying asleep challenging.

When babies are very young their little tummies don’t stay full for long and consequently, they wake throughout the night for feeds. This is obviously completely normal and as nature intended!

As babies grow into toddlers and young children, sleep can become more challenging. During these stages difficulty going off to sleep and staying asleep can be due to being too wound up for sleep, not wanting to be alone, being scared, not being able to settle themselves without the help of a parent, waking up in the night, and getting into bed with parents or carers or being overtired. I’m sure there are many other reasons but all exhausted parents WANT is for their kids to sleep and all a child’s body NEEDS is for them to sleep so they can grow!

Kids sleep meditations and guided sleep meditations for kids can help relax and prepare their minds and bodies for sleep. Lying down in bed all warm and snuggly listening to sleep meditation music or a hypnotic voice from a guided sleep meditation for kids can encourage your child to fall off to sleep. If they need you to stay with them, lie down with them so they feel safe and secure, but be warned, you will probably drift off to sleep too!
